NAFI (Nordic Association of Fire Investigators) exists because we have noticed that fire scenes isn’t investigated in a sufficient scope. Many fire investigations are closed with a unknown cause. With better knowledge and extended collaboration can we change it. This is a serious community problem that we have to corporate to reduce. We are aiming for both public and private organizations.
Our goal is to comebine people from both public and private organizations in the Nordic countries, engaged in the investigation of fires, for information and exchange in experiences. We also work to evolve knowledge, methods and tools in the area and to conduce to high workmanship among our members.
International association by NAFI being a independent member of IAAI. NAFI was grounded as FBU 1994 and changed to our present name 2016. Today NAFI has 183 members all over the Nordic countries.
